The Energy of IntentionThought is energy, and as such, thought is a viable
force. |

| The Power of Intentional
Mind. The mind is not confined to our brain or body. Even though
our conscious thought processes convince us that mind is a local aspect
of our experience, our occasional intuitive hits and encounters-beyond-chance
hint at a farther-ranging, non-local dimension of our mind. E.g., I think
of you, and you phone. Hmmmm.
According to Dr. Larry Dossey, the mind's range is limitless, beyond
restrictions of space, time and matter. Research has conclusively proven
the effectiveness of distant intercessory prayer and distance healing
in both humans and non-humans. The human mind can influence a random
events generator from one side of the earth to the other and from the
future to change the past. In medical practice, "intentions can
invite and promote healing, limit injury, sterilize wounds, facilitate
communication, and encourage recovery from anesthesia." (Quoted
from my book, Feeling Free!, with reference
to Dossey, 1999). "[F]uture events are composed of thoughts not yet materialized," states Raymon Grace, healer and master dowser (2001). Whether helping ourselves or others, let us be mind-full of our intent. The more clear and focused our mind's energies, the more likely we will achieve our highest self-care and healing goals. The Power of Heart's Intention. The human brain is a powerhouse, most of us would agree. Well, it surprised me to learn that the human heart totally out-powers and out-ranges the brain. Impeccable research at the Institute of HeartMath has shown that the heart's energy field is "approximately five thousand times greater in strength than the field produced by the brain" (Childre & Martin, 1998, p. 33). Dr. William Tiller (1997), world-renowned scientist on the structure
of matter, has tested how effective mental intention is with and without
the influence of the heart. People (experimental "subjects")
were trained in both mental intention and "an ordered mode of the
heart." That's the kind of flowing-heart feeling we have when we
spend a few minutes thinking of someone or something we love or appreciate.
The subjects were then given the task of influencing the degree of winding
in strands of DNA in a jar of watery solution on a table a few feet
away. They tried to do this using just mental intention, and nothing
happened. They tried it using a coherent heart rate but no mental intention,
and nothing happened. What happened when they used both

| When subjects used both mental intention and an ordered
heart mode, they wound or unwound strands of DNA at will, and could do
it just as well if the DNA jar was miles away! |
||
| Now that's a powerful energy intervention! That's the kind of power we want when we choose to change and heal and transform our lives. With mental intention and love in our hearts, we can change our world! For in-depth discussion of our amazing powers of mind, heart and intention, I recommend the "Intimations of Future EFT" chapter in Feeling Free! and the "Dowsing, Divining and the Divine" section in my book, Divining Health. |
